Alloy & Composite plates will last up to 10 meetings, Fibre plates will need replacing after 2 meetings due to the excessive wear. After engine services the clutch is the most expensive item to maintain on the bike. This is why the Clutch Plate Club is so important.
about luke
Luke is 17 years old and has been racing motorbikes since the age of 6, starting with grass track and then moving into speedway from the age of 7, competitively racing at 8yrs old after joining the British Youth Championship.
Luke made his league debut at the age of 15 for Mildenhall Fen Tigers in 2022, then in 2023 progressed to Workington Comets in the National League and also finished the season at Redcar Bears in the Championship league.
The 2025 season will see Luke racing for his home town team Scunthorpe Scorpions (Championship), Scunthorpe & Sheffield Steelers (National Development League) & Kings Lynn Young Stars (National Development Trophy).
Luke is also attached to Motor Lublin in Poland for the U24 Polish League.

Luke’s goals for 2025 in the Championship are to maintain and increase his starting average and to establish himself as a consistent point scorer. In the National League he aims to increase his average and press for the No. 1 position in the team.
